Beffendorf is a district of Oberndorf am Neckar in the Rottweil district in Baden-Württemberg .

Beffendorf is located on the eastern edge of the Black Forest above the Neckar valley, about 5 km from Oberndorf am Neckar .
history
There was already a settlement here in the Neolithic , as evidence shows. Finds from Roman times and an early medieval burial ground with more than a hundred finds, such as a Coptic bronze pan, indicate an early settlement. In 769 Beffendorf was first mentioned as "Beffindoraf" in a deed of donation to the St. Gallen monastery.
On January 1, 1975, the previously independent municipality of Beffendorf was merged with the town of Oberndorf am Neckar and the communities of Altoberndorf, Bochingen, Boll and Hochmössingen to form the new town of Oberndorf am Neckar. Aistaig joined them the same day.
