Beijing Foton Daimler Automotive Co., Ltd. (BFDA) is a manufacturer of commercial vehicles from the People's Republic of China .

The Chinese truck manufacturer Beiqi Foton Motor and Daimler AG founded this joint venture in 2012 . Both partners hold 50% of the shares. The company produces medium and heavy trucks under the Foton Auman brand, as well as engines.
The first joint product is the Foton Auman GTL heavy truck , which has been in production since July 2012. Among other things, the vehicle is available with the Mercedes-Benz inline six-cylinder engine OM 457 , which can no longer be marketed in Europe after the introduction of the Euro 6 emissions standard and is now being manufactured on site by BFDA under license.
With Wu Yuejun, Foton provided the company's first president, and Stefan Albrecht from Daimler is Executive Vice President. On July 1, 2015, Zhou Liang became the new president.
Foton has brought its existing business with medium and heavy trucks of the Foton Auman brand , the production sites and the sales and service network into the joint venture.
