Beijing Hyundai Motor Company Corporation is an automobile manufacturer from the People's Republic of China .

Company history

Beijing Automotive Industry Holding and Hyundai Motor Company founded the joint company in Beijing in 2002 . The production of automobiles began. The brand name is Hyundai .

In November 2002 appeared the first model licensed edition of the Hyundai Sonata in versions BH 7200 A with an engine with 1997 cc displacement and 137 hp power and 7270 A bra with a V6 engine with 2656 cc and 178 hp.

In December 2003 the Hyundai Elantra followed as the BH 7160 A with 1600 cm³ displacement and 112 HP and as the BH 7180 A with 1800 cm³ displacement and 131 HP output.

In June 2005 the SUV Hyundai Tucson followed with a V6 engine with a displacement of 2700 cm³ and a new Sonata from the NF series in the versions 2.0 , 2.4 and 3.3 .

Shouwang sub-brand

On October 12, 2011 it was announced that the company would like to introduce a cheap brand. An electric car was presented under the Shouwang sub-brand at the Guangzhou Auto Show in Guangzhou that same year . Another source states that the BHCD-1 model is a hybrid, while a gasoline engine is planned for the production version . The concept vehicle was presented again at Auto China 2012 in Beijing and the hybrid drive was confirmed. A market launch is not known.
