Beiningen is a district of Blaubeuren in the Alb-Donau district in Baden-Württemberg . As part of the municipal reform in Baden-Württemberg , the municipality of Beiningen was incorporated into Blaubeuren on January 1, 1975.
geography
The village is located about four kilometers south-southeast of the town center of Blaubeuren at about 650 m above sea level. NHN on the plateau Hochsträß the Middle Flächenalb further south running on flat slope to hell valley trench less than a hundred meters to the west. About one kilometer to the west-southwest lies the ruins of Gleißenburg on a spur above the Höllentalgraben in the beginning of the forest. The homestead (Vorder-) Gleißenburg, which also belongs to the district, is one and a half kilometers west-northwest. The next larger towns are the village of Pappelau less than one and a half kilometers to the south and Gerhausen about two kilometers to the north, both in other parts of the city of Blaubeuren, with which the L 241 connects Beiningen.
history
Beiningen was first handed down in the 11th century. The hospital Blaubeuren acquired in the 15th century, two formerly the Wernau belonging, of Helfenstein to feud going courtyards. In 1447 the place with Blaubeuren was sold to Württemberg by the Counts of Helfenstein. The place belonged to the office or Oberamt Blaubeuren .
