The Bekker Nunatakker comprise three nunatakkers in Graham Land in the north of the Antarctic Peninsula . They are located below the Ruth Ridge ridge on the north side of the Drygalski glacier not far from the Nordenskjöld coast .
The Falkland Islands Dependencies Survey mapped them based on their own measurements between 1960 and 1961. The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named them in 1964 after the Canadian engineer Mieczysław Gregory Bekker (1905-1989), who wrote the 1956 Theory of Land Locomotion, a standard work on the physical I wrote the basics for locomotion over snowy ground.
