The Drygalski Glacier is a wide, around 30 km long glacier in Grahamland on the Antarctic Peninsula . It flows from the Herbert Plateau in a south-easterly direction to the Nordenskjöld coast , where it flows into Solari Bay between the Richard Knoll in the north and the Sentinel Nunatak in the south .
It was discovered in 1902 during the Swedish Antarctic Expedition (1901-1903) under the direction of the Swedish polar explorer Otto Nordenskjöld . It is named after the German polar explorer Erich von Drygalski (1865–1949), who at the same time led the Gauß expedition (1901–1903) to Kaiser Wilhelm II Land .
