Belau is a district of the Bergen an der Dumme area in the Lüchow-Dannenberg district in Lower Saxony .

geography

The village is one kilometer southwest of Bergen and south of the B 71 . The Obere Dummeniederung nature reserve is located directly to the east of the village .

history

For the year 1848 it is stated that Belau had 13 residential buildings in which 84 residents lived. At that time the place was parish to Bergen, where the school was located. On December 1, 1910, Belau had 57 inhabitants and was an independent municipality in the Lüchow district .
