Belinda Akinyi Owino (born February 3, 1993 in Houston , Texas ) is an American actress .

life and career

Belinda Owino comes from Texas and took on her first acting roles at the age of 7. So she appeared on various stages and festivals in her native Houston, such as The Texas Renaissance Festival . Owino has been taking on roles in film and television since 2011. She first appeared in an episode of the Public Library series and was seen in the film Blacktino . In 2012 she worked for the first time with star director Quentin Tarantino , who cast her for a mini-role as the Candyland slave in his film Django Unchained . Ownio also did stunt work for the film.

Tarantino cast her again for his next film, for example in the role of Gemma in The Hateful Eight from 2015. That year she also graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a degree in film.
