Ben Crowley (born March 10, 1980 in Mancos , Colorado ) is an American actor .

Life

Crowley was born the youngest of five children in the American town of Mancos, Colorado. Since his family moved several times, he later grew up in Missouri and Arizona, among others . As a teenager he took on the lead role of 'Lucky' in the high school musical Dames at Sea in 1996 . As a young adult, he moved to Los Angeles in 1999 and dedicated himself to acting.

He made his film debut in 2000 with the role of Leo in the US series Undressed - Who with whom? . In 2001 he took on a guest role (as Dylan) in the US television series Maybe It's Me . His breakthrough on television came in 2002 with a leading role in the television series Glory Days . He played the "charismatic teenager" Zane Walker in it.

Crowley worked as a film actor in many other American film and television productions . He had episode roles (leading and supporting roles) in the US television series JAG - On behalf of honor (2002), Los Angeles Police Report (2003), CSI - On the trail of the perpetrators (2007) and Numb3rs - The logic of crime (2008).

In 2004 he was cast by director Spike Lee for one of the leading roles in his television film Sucker Free City . Crowley played Nick Wade, a young employee who takes advantage of his job for a credit card fraud and deals drugs on the side . In 2006 he also had a small role in Spike Lee's thriller Inside Man ; he played the assistant to lawyer Madeline White. Among other things, he gained fame through the role of Private Stump in the horror film The Hills Have Eyes 2 (2007).

In 2011 he had a leading role in the drama The Bridge to Nowhere , in which he played the role of Brian. He embodied a worker living on the poverty line who, together with his friends , founds an escort agency that offers customers drugs as well as sexual services. Crowley played the "head of the gang" in the film.

In 2012 he starred alongside Jon Voight in the thriller Beyond - The Mysterious Abduction of Amy Noble . He played the role of Jim Noble, the male part of a falling out parents couple.

Crowley also acted in several short films .
