Ben Proffitt (born January 20, 1978 in Shrewsbury ) is a British windsurfer .

Proffitt made his first attempts at windsurfing in Cornwall when he was 10 years old . In 1992 he became the “National Champion” of the under 15 year olds and in 1994 he won the bronze medal at the “Aloha World Championships”. At the age of 22 he had his first “forward loop”. In 2006, 2010 and 2011 he became the British wave champion . He is participating in the PWA tour with sail number K-800.

Since March 2011 he has been a regular commentator on the live broadcasts of the Windsurf World Cup and is also known for his video series "Training Diaries", which since 2012 has not only given a sporty look at the days before a PWA event. In June 2016 he started the website windsurfing.tv with the idea of ​​gathering everything that happens around professional windsurfing in one place.
