Benedikt Felsinger , OPraem (born June 23, 1965 in Horn ) is the Premonstratensian chorister of the Geras monastery , author and known in Austria as the “herb pastor”.

Life

Reinhold Felsinger joined the Geras Abbey in 1984 and took the religious name Benedikt. After his ordination he was appointed chaplain for the parish of Harth in 1993. As a result, he became an employee of the herb pastor Hermann-Josef Weidinger . In the association of the monastery, he served for years as prior and pastor of Harth and Oberhöflein . After the death of Hermann-Josef Weidinger in 2004, Benedikt Felsinger succeeded him as a "herb pastor". He continues his work in the association “Friends of Medicinal Herbs” in Karlstein an der Thaya and also as the author of the column “Look and feel good” in the “ Kronen Zeitung ”. Through his comments and advice in print media, radio broadcasts and TV reports, Felsinger reached an audience of millions, like his predecessor “Herb Pastor Weidinger”.
