The 2004/05 season is the fifth season since the foundation of the German Junior League , the highest junior league in German ice hockey .

The preliminary round was played as a double round. Then the teams in places 1 to 8 played the playoffs while the team in 10th place was relegated from the league.

As champions of the youth league in 2004/05, SC Bietigheim took advantage of the promotion to the DNL.
