Benedict Pfister

Benedikt ("Beni") Samuel Pfister (born September 3, 1978 ) is a Swiss historian .

Life

The son of theologian Xaver Pfister studied history, Swiss history and media studies at the University of Basel and Munich . After completing his licentiate degree at the University of Basel in 2005, he worked as a freelance historian, including the author of anniversary publications for the Basel-Stadt trade association and the Basel and Metal Union. Today he works in a project agency and is public relations officer for the Swiss Red Cross in Basel. In this position, he was the project manager and co-author of the book “The Basler and the Red Cross - 125 Years of the SRK Basel” in 2013 . Pfister also wrote publications on the history of the Mammut Sports Group , ice hockey in Switzerland and the history of the Catholics in Basel in the 20th century. He is on the board of “JuAr Basel” (formerly Basler Freizeitaktion BFA ), the most important organization in Basel's youth work .

In 2014 he co-founded the Basel sports bar "Didi Offensiv", which he has been running as a partner ever since.
