Benedikt von Ahlefeldt (Osterrade)

Benedikt (Bendix) von Ahlefeldt (* 1650 ; † April 19, 1712 ), was lord of Osterrade , Kluvensiek , Sehestedt , Kronsburg and holder of the Danebrog order .

Life

Bendix von Ahlefeldt , Herr auf Osterrade, Kluvensiek, Sehestedt and Kronsburg was a Royal Privy Councilor and District Administrator and received the Danebrog Order on August 28, 1709 at Frederiksborg Castle. As a Danebrog knight he led the motto: "Pro deo et rege". He died on April 19, 1712 and was buried on June 7, 1712 with such great expense that the burial cost 1,400 thalers. He was married three times. His first wife was Catharina von Buchwald, the daughter of Hans Adolph von Buchwald on Jersbek and Stegen and Margaretha von Blome from the Seedorf house, she died in 1685 as the mother of three children. The second wife was Margareta von Brockdorff, the daughter of Joachim von Brockdorff auf Wensin, Gaartz and Bohlstorff and Anna Margareta von Rantzau from the Siggen family. She was the widow of Hieronymus von Thienen auf Kühren. In 1694 he married Sophie von Reventlow, a daughter of Chancellor Detlev von Reventlow, for the third time. She was born on July 11, 1658 and when she married Benedikt von Ahlefeldt, she was the widow of Otto von Ahlefeldt on Fresenburg. Benedikt von Ahlefeldt had three children with his first wife, four children with a third wife, and his second marriage remained childless.
