Benjamin Gallein

Benjamin Gallein (born February 3, 1986 ) is a German chef .

Career

Gallein began his apprenticeship as a chef at the age of 16 at Albrechtsberg Castle in Dresden . This was followed by positions in the Chardonnay restaurant in Wolfsburg and in the VIP lounge in Ischgl . Around 2010 he switched to Silvio Nickol Schlossstern at Schloss Velden am Wörthersee (two Michelin stars ). This was followed by the Falco restaurant in Leipzig under Peter Maria Schnurr and again with Silvio Nickol in the Silvio Nickol gourmet restaurant in the Palais Coburg in Vienna .

Since June 2015 he has been head chef at the Ole Deele restaurant in Großburgwedel , which has also been awarded a Michelin star since 2016. In November 2018, Ole Deele was also rated by the Gault-Millau restaurant guide for the first time with 18 out of 20 possible points.
