Benjamin Genghini

Benjamin Genghini (born December 16, 1985 in Menton ) is a French footballer who currently plays for the French fifth division team Racing Strasbourg . He is the son of Bernard Genghini , who became European champion with the French national team in 1984 .

Career

Benjamin Genghini began his career in 2005 at FC Sochaux . He made his professional debut on November 26, 2005 when he was substituted on for Jérémy Ménez on the 16th match day of Ligue 1 , against Stade Rennes , in the 87th minute . In stoppage time he scored the 1-0 winner. After two more short appearances, Genghini moved to US Raon on loan in the summer of 2006 . For the 2007/08 season, Genghini moved back to Sochaux. Here, however, he was denied an assignment. For the 2008/09 season, Genghini broke his tents entirely in Sochaux and went to Burgundy to sign with FC Gueugnon . In 2010 he went to the then third division team Racing Strasbourg , with whom he had to relegate to the fifth division, CFA 2 , in 2011 for financial reasons .
