Benjamin Gottlieb Rösler
Benjamin Gottlieb Rösler (born January 10, 1769 in Reichenau , † October 2, 1833 in Zittau ) was a German theologian , composer and organist .
Life
Rösler studied theology and music in Zittau and Leipzig. From 1803 he was responsible for editing the Zittauische weekly news . In 1820 he became organist at the Johanniskirche in Zittau, at the same time music director and teacher at the school teachers' seminar. Some of his compositions have appeared in print.
Part of his musical legacy is kept in the Saxon State Library - Dresden State and University Library.
