Benjamin Imeh (born July 20, 1982 in Lagos , Nigeria ) is a Nigerian football player . The striker currently plays for Lechia Zielona Góra in the Polish third division .
Club career
Benjamin Imeh is a native of the Nigerian club FC Enyimba . He played here until 2004. At the end of 2004 he was signed by the Polish club Polonia Warsaw . There he scored four goals in 22 games in the Ekstraklasa .
In 2005 he moved to league rivals Arka Gdynia . He made only seven appearances in the Ekstraklasa and not a single goal. In the same year he was sold to Zawisza Bydgoszcz in the 2nd division. He played here regularly, but only scored five goals in two seasons.
In 2007 he moved to Śląsk Wrocław , which at that time also played in the 2nd division. From 2008 to 2009 he played for the second division Tur Turek , where he saw the referee twice red card in a league game against Odra Opole in early March 2009 . In 2009 he signed a contract with Dolcan Ząbki , where Imeh was used in the 2009/10 season, played 24 games where he only scored two goals.
During the winter break in Poland 2010/11, Imeh moved free of charge to league competitor Zawisza Bydgoszcz where he had already played between 2005 and 2007. He made his debut for the team from Bydgoszcz against Zagłębie Sosnowiec on matchday 18. But it was only in the sixth game for Bydgoszcz that the trained striker scored in the game against Raków Częstochowa for his new team in the ninetieth minute to equalize 2-2. At the end of the season he rose to the first division with Zawisza Bydgoszcz .
