Benjamin Knoche (born October 11, 1978 in Hagen ) is a German football defender.

Career

After Knoche had played for two regional amateur clubs, he switched to the youth department of Borussia Dortmund at the age of 14 . There he celebrated two German championship titles in a row as an A-youth. After three years with the amateurs of BVB, in which he played his only Bundesliga game in 1997, he switched to Sportfreunde Siegen . He played there for two years before returning to the second team of Borussia Dortmund. He stayed there again for two years until he moved to the second team of Borussia Mönchengladbach in 2004 , where he was active for four years.

In 2008 he ended his professional career and joined the state division TuS Ennepetal . In the 2011/12 season he moved to the national league club FSV Vohwinkel , where he worked under ex-Bundesliga player Holger Gaißmayer . He also trained the U19 team there. From 2014 to 2017 Knoche coached the current Hagen national soccer team SpVg. Hagen 1911, then he moved to SV Herbede in Witten until April 2019.

Knoche was used as a right foot in the defense center and on the right full-back position , as well as in the defensive midfield.
