Benno Basso

Benno Basso (born May 15, 1936 in Roth ) is a Middle Franconian entrepreneur who sat in the Bavarian Senate from 1992 to 1999.

Life

Benno Basso grew up in Roth and trained as a gardener and florist after school . In 1966 he joined his parents' business, Blumen Basso , in his native Roth. Soon afterwards, Basso became involved in various regional gardening associations. In 1987 he was even able to become chairman of the training committee of the Central Horticultural Association in what was then the federal capital of Bonn . Four years later, the presidency of the Bavarian Gardening Association was added. He has been honorary president of the association since the end of his term of office in 2006. His political commitment increased considerably at this time, so that in 1992 he was a member of the Bavarian Senate for seven years and in 1996 the offices in the city ​​council and district council of his hometown were added. He was also chairman of the Society for the Promotion of Bavarian State Horticultural Shows from 1993 to 2005 and brought the horticultural show to Roth in 2003.
