Bent Haakonsen

Bent Haakonsen (born January 10, 1936 in Maribo ) is a Danish diplomat .

Life

Haakonsen joined the Danish diplomatic service and served from 1964 to 1967, initially in Bonn . From 1972 to 1974 he worked in the Danish representation at the European Economic Community in Brussels . In 1978 he became the Danish ambassador to Czechoslovakia . He held this office until 1979. From 1980 to 1981 he headed the Danish delegation to the Conference on Security and Cooperation in Europe in Madrid . 1983 to 1991 he worked as undersecretary. From 1991 to 1995 he then represented Denmark at the United Nations . It then joined from 1995 to 2001 the office of Danish ambassador to Germany . From 2001 until 2004 he was ambassador to Stockholm in Sweden .
