Bent Knee (German: bent knee ) is an American art rock band that was founded in Boston in 2009.
history
The band has its roots around the Berklee College of Music in Boston. Ben Levin and Courtney Swain began writing music together in 2009, and most of the first, self-titled album was written before the other musicians joined the band. The group took some time to consolidate, but with the production and release of the second album Shiny Eyed Babies in 2014, a work was created that earned the musicians international acclaim and good reviews. The band then got a record deal with Cuneiform Records and released Say So on this label in 2016 . The fourth album, Land Animal , was released on InsideOut Music in 2017.
The whole time the band was also very active live. From 2014 to 2017 she gave between 40 and 90 concerts every year, mostly in the USA, but increasingly also in Europe.
