Benthamiella spegazziniana is a plant type from the genus Benthamiella in the family of the nightshade family (Solanaceae).

description

Benthamiella spegazziniana is a Chamaephyte . The slightly fleshy leaves are about 1.5 mm long and 0.5 mm wide. The leaf margin is woolly hairy. The calyx is about 1 mm long and almost bell-shaped, the calyx teeth are woolly hairy on the edge. The crown is almost bell-shaped, hairy and about 1.75 mm long. The two stamens protrude beyond the crown and are of the same shape. The stamens are hairless and start in the lower third of the corolla tube. The ovary has a visible nectarium . The stylus does not protrude beyond the crown.

The species is native to Santa Cruz .

Systematics and botanical history

The species was first described by Alberto Soriano in 1948 . The epithet honors Carlos Luis Spegazzini .
