Bergdorf (District of Coburg)

Bergdorf was a municipality in the district of Coburg , Upper Franconia , Bavaria .

history

The municipality was created on July 1, 1968 through the merger of the previously independent municipalities of Brüx , Höhn , Rüttmannsdorf and Weimersdorf, as well as the area of Brüxer Forst, which had been free until then . On January 1, 1974, the community was also awarded 74,471 hectares of the community-free area Mönchrödener Forst. In a secret vote on May 1, 1968, the citizens of the communities decided on the place name Bergdorf.

On May 1, 1978, the community was dissolved and incorporated into the city of Neustadt bei Coburg .
