The Berger Bach is a brook in the municipality of Virgen ( Lienz district ). It rises on the Berger Kogel and flows into the Isel north of Welzelach .

course

The Berger Bach rises on the eastern flanks of the Berger Kogel. The origin is formed by several short source streams, which arise among other things in the meadow areas of the Kogelmähder . After the source brooks have merged, the Berger Bach flows north-west past the Marcher Alm and below the north-facing Berger Alm. In a curve to the west, the Berger Bach passes the hamlets of Berg and March on the north and south sides and then flows into the Isel on the right. The banks of the Berger Bach are practically continuously wooded. With the exception of agricultural areas south of Berg, the adjacent areas are also covered with forest. With the exception of the road that leads from Welzelach to March and crosses the brook twice, there are no traffic routes in the vicinity of the water.
