The Berggasthaus Meglisalp is an inn on the Meglisalp of the same name in the Swiss Alpstein Mountains.

The mountain inn is located in the Swiss canton of Appenzell Innerrhoden in the Schwende district . It is at 1517  m above sea level. M. and shapes the alp of the same name . The inn has a dormitory for 110 people and some double and single rooms. The restaurant can seat up to 125 people.

An easy mountain hiking trail leads from Alp Sigel via Mans to Bogartenlücke. An alpine mountain hiking trail leads over the Marwees to the inn. Alternatively, the Meglisalp can be hiked from Wasserauen over the Seealpsee .

The first primitive inn was built on the Meglisalp in 1861. In 1862 the Alpstein pioneer Josef Anton Dörig bought the inn from his cousin of the same name, which he ran until his death in 1909. In 1898 he replaced the primitive building with the inn that still exists today. The construction of the building is considered a pioneering achievement, as all of the building material had to be carried from Wasserauen to the Meglisalp. A driveway did not exist. In 1952 a material ropeway was built to ensure the supply of materials, food and drinks to the Alp. To this day there is no generally usable road. The inn can only be reached on foot and is only open during the summer season.
