Mountain Church (Schönau)
The Bergkirche is a Protestant church in Schönau in the Black Forest , which was built in the 1920s. An independent evangelical congregation formed in the village as early as 1883.
history
Until the second half of the 19th century, the Protestant believers were cared for from Neuenweg . In 1883 a diaspora community emerged. In the absence of suitable premises, the pastor held services in the halls of the town hall and the district court. Already at the beginning of the 20th century there were plans to build an own church. However, these could only be implemented after the First World War . The construction work lasted from 1925 to 1927. The completed church was consecrated on July 31, 1927 by Prelate Kühlewein .

In 1960 the organ was rebuilt and expanded by Peter Vier and in 1969 it was increased again, so that it has a total of 28 registers. Financed by donations, a new organ was commissioned in the 2000s, which was built by the organ builder Jens Steinhoff from Schwörstadt . The so-called "sun organ" was inaugurated on July 15, 2007 and placed on the gallery opposite the choir. The instrument has a total of 790 metal pipes and 142 wooden pipes. Their lengths range from 15 millimeters to 2.80 meters. Your disposition is listed below:
