The Berjosowskaja GRES ( Russian Берёзовская государственная районная электростанция ) is a coal-fired power plant in Sharypovo , Russia . It provides an electrical output of 3.2 GW .
Lignite from the adjacent Kansk-Achinsk basin is used as fuel . The power plant is supplied via two 14 km long conveyor belts.
With a height of 370 meters, the chimney of the power plant is the tallest free-standing structure in Russia outside of Moscow and the tallest chimney in Europe .

A fire broke out in 2016 in the third block of the power plant, which was completed in 2015.
