Unipro ( Russian Юнипро ; up to 2011 OGK-4, from 2011 to 2016 E.ON Russia ) is an electricity supplier in Russia . The majority of it belongs to the Uniper Group.

Unipro was founded as OGK-4 from March 2005 to July 2006 and at the end of 2007 had around 5300 employees. It operates five power plants with an output of 11,205 megawatts:

In October 2007 E.ON Russia Power , a subsidiary of E.ON, acquired a 78.3 percent stake in OGK-4. At the end of fiscal 2012, E.ON SE held 83.7 percent of E.ON Russia.

In July 2011 the company was renamed E.ON Russia JSC .

E.ON announced at the end of November 2014 that it would spin off parts of the company. The new company, called Uniper , will focus on conventional generation, global trade and exploration. This also includes E.ON Russia Power, the stake in the Nord Stream pipeline and the Brazilian company Eneva . The old E.ON is to concentrate on renewable energies and the network business.

The company was then renamed Unipro JSC in June 2016 .
