OGK-6 ( Russian ОГК-6 , full name Оптовая генерирующая компания № 6 ; English The Sixth Generation Company of the Wholesale Electricity Market ) is an energy company from Russia with headquarters in Moscow .

OGK-6 employs almost 6,900 people (2009). The company's turnover in 2009 was 41.8 billion rubles (about 1 billion euros), and profit before tax was 2.8 million rubles (about 70 million euros).

The company was founded on May 17, 2005, initially with its headquarters in Rostov-on-Don in southern Russia . The majority of OGK-6 shares were initially held by the Russian company Unified Energy System . After it was split up in summer 2008, its successor, the Federal Network Agency , still held 9.6% of the shares. Gazprom is now the largest shareholder through its subsidiary ZentrEnergoHolding (50.29% as of June 30, 2010). In April 2010 Gazprom's plans to merge OGK-6 with OGK-2 , in which it also holds the majority of shares, were reported.
