OGK-1 ( Russian ОГК-1 , full name Оптовая генерирующая компания № 1 ; English First Power Generating Company on the Wholesale Electricity Market ) is an energy company from Russia with headquarters in Tyumen, West Siberia .
OGK-1 employs a good 6,000 people. The company's turnover in 2007 was around 800 million euros.
The company was founded on March 23, 2005. Almost 92% of the OGK-1 shares were held by the Russian group Unified Energy System until it was split up in the summer of 2008 , and around 5% by Gazprom .
Power plants
OGK-1 operates the following thermal power plants with a total output of 9531 megawatts :
- Iriklinskaja - 2430 MW (including 30 MW hydropower plant; energetics , Orenburg oblast ; in operation since 1970)
- Kaschira - 1580 MW ( Kaschira , Moscow Oblast ; originally 1922, new building 1968)
- Perm - 2400 MW ( Dobryanka , Perm region ; 1986)
- Nizhnevartovsk - 1600 MW ( Isluchinsk , Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug ; 1993)
- Urengoi - 24 MW ( Limbjajacha in Novy , Yamalo-Nenets ; 1987 unfinished)
- Verkhny Tagil - 1497 MW ( Verkhny Tagil , Sverdlovsk Oblast ; 1956)
