The PIK Group ( Russian Группа компаний ПИК ) is one of the largest construction companies in Russia . The abbreviation PIK stands for Pervaya Ipotetschnaja Kompanija ("first mortgage company"), as the company was originally called.

The group was founded in 1994 and originally specialized in residential construction exclusively in the greater Moscow area. In 1998 the company started a mortgage program together with the Moscow city council and cooperating banks as one of the first in Russia. In the 2000s, PIK expanded its presence in other regions of Russia through acquisitions. The PIK Group is now represented nationwide with over 20 regional and specialist departments. According to the company, the total area of the residential units financed and built by the company from 2000 to 2007 was over five million square meters.

In the course of the economic crisis from 2007 onwards, the group's construction activities slackened considerably compared to previous years. In 2008 the company made a loss of approximately $ 167 million.
