Leigh Adams

Leigh Scott Adams (born April 28, 1971 in Mildura , Victoria ) is an Australian speedway driver . He is a three-time team world champion and won a world title at the U-21 world championships in speedway. He is also a ten-time Australian champion.

Life

He drove in the British league for the Swindon Robins , in the Swedish for Lejonen from Gislaved and in the Polish league for Unia Leszno . At the beginning of 2011 he ended his sporting career as a speedway driver.

While training for a motorcycle marathon rally through the outback, he fell in a dry river bed near Alice Springs and sustained serious injuries to his spine. Since then he has been paralyzed down the waist.
