Gislaved is an industrial town in the Swedish province of Jönköping and the historic province of Småland , about 70 kilometers south of Jönköping . Gislaved is the capital of the municipality of the same name .
The well-known rubber industry Gislaved AB with the car tire factories was sold to Continental AG in 1992 ; the plants were closed in 2001 and production relocated to Portugal. The tire brand Gislaved was, however, continued.
