Coordinates: 57 ° 18 ′  N , 13 ° 33 ′  O Gislaved is a municipality ( Swedish commun ) in the Swedish province of Jönköpings län and the historic province of Småland . The main town of the municipality is Gislaved .

geography

There are 388 lakes in the municipality, the largest of which are Bolmen , Fegen , Majsjön and Nissasjöarna . The Nissan River flows through the municipality towards its mouth at Halmstad .

history

In the course of municipal reform of 1974, the town was the six municipalities Anderstorp , Burseryd , Gislaved, Reftele , Villstad and Södra Mo formed.
