Hestra is a place ( Tatort ) in the Swedish province of Jönköpings län and the historic province of Småland . The place is located in the municipality of Gislaved , about fifteen kilometers north of the main town of the municipality of Gislaved .

Hestra is located on Riksväg 26 , which connects Halmstad with Mora , between Gislaved and Jönköping . Länsväg 151 branches off from here and leads east to Värnamo . The place is also a stopover for the Kust till kust-banan , which connects Gothenburg with Karlskrona . A railway line to Gislaved used to branch off here. The Nissan flows past to the east of the town and feeds some lakes.
