Berkan Afşarlı (born March 1, 1991 in Lindau ) is a German - Turkish soccer player.

Career

society

Afşarlı went through the youth department of VfB Stuttgart before he began playing for the reserve team of SC Paderborn 07 in 2010. In the summer of 201 he returned to VfB Stuttgart and played half a season for the club's reserve team. In the spring of 2012 he moved to the Swiss club FC Wil .

For the second half of the 2013/14 season he moved to the Turkish TFF 1st Lig to Mersin İdman Yurdu . Afşarlı had to take eight months off because of his lymphatic cancer .

After a total of twelve appearances in the Süper Lig, he moved to the second division Denizlispor for the 2016/17 season .

For Denizlispor Afşarlı completed 29 second division appearances in two seasons and scored three goals. For the 2018/19 season he moved to the Istanbul third division club Pendikspor .

Afşarlı played three games for the German U-19 national team in 2010 .

Cancerous disease

Afşarlı was diagnosed with lymph gland cancer in the spring of 2015 . He beat cancer and returned to the football field in December 2015.
