Berkant Güner (born February 19, 1998 in Bielefeld ) is a German - Turkish soccer player .
Career
The midfielder began his career at the Bielefeld district club TuS 08 Senne I and later moved to Arminia Bielefeld's youth department . At the age of 13, he then moved to Borussia Dortmund's youth department . With Borussia he became German B-Juniors champion in the 2014/15 season with a 4-0 win over VfB Stuttgart . A year later , Güner and Dortmund won the German A-Juniors championship with a 5-3 victory over TSG 1899 Hoffenheim . Güner then moved to Eintracht Braunschweig and won the German A-Junior Cup with Lower Saxony with a 3-0 final victory over FC Carl Zeiss Jena .
In the summer of 2017, Berkant Güner moved up to the squad of the second team of Eintracht Braunschweig, which was in the fourth-class Regionalliga Nord at the time. Güner was not used there, however, and then switched to Vaasan PS in the first-class Finnish Veikkausliiga during the 2017/18 winter break . He made his professional debut on April 14, 2018 in the 1-0 defeat against Rovaniemi PS , where Güner was substituted on for Juha Hakula . Due to a leg injury, Güner missed the second half of the season and was without a club when his contract expired. At the end of December 2019, Berkant Güner signed a contract with the fifth-rate club FC Gütersloh .
