Berlin-Görlitzer Railway Company
The Berlin-Görlitzer Eisenbahn-Gesellschaft was a private railway company in Prussia .
history
The line from Berlin to Görlitz was built by the "railway king" Bethel Henry Strousberg as general contractor and opened for passenger and freight traffic in 1866/1867. In 1874 the branch line was opened from Lübbenau via Senftenberg to Kamenz in Saxony , where the connection to the KP line of the Royal Saxon State Railways to Pirna was established. In 1882 the Berlin-Görlitzer Railway became the property of the State of Prussia and thus became part of the Prussian State Railways , and after 1920 the Deutsche Reichsbahn .
