Berliner Schnauzen is a twenty-part German television series by ZDF that was broadcast in 2006. As in its counterpart Panda, Gorilla & Co. from rbb , the main actors in the series are the zoo keepers and animals of the capital city zoo .

The employees, animals and visitors are accompanied in their everyday life. The focus is on stories of human and animal fates. In contrast to the animal documentation, it is not a distant comment that tells the story, but rather the individual protagonists take on this task. You yourself comment on the work processes and experiences from your situation. The audience should also learn interesting facts, whether about the habits and behavior of the animals, their requirements for housing, employment and nutrition, or about current issues of modern zoo zoology.
