Dresdner snouts - Zoo Stories from Saxony was a television series of the ZDF , which was sent in January of 2007. It is one of the German zoo documentary soaps and tells the everyday stories of the zoo keepers and animals at Dresden Zoo . In doing so, ZDF tried to build on the success of Elefant, Tiger & Co. of ARD and other zoo documentaries.

The first season was first broadcast from January 8th to February 26th, 2007 and contains 32 episodes with a duration of approximately 45 minutes. The first episode saw 1.53 million viewers, which corresponded to a market share of 11.2 percent. The first broadcast of the second season, which comprises 20 episodes, took place from November 5 to 30, 2007. The third season was first broadcast from December 1, 2008 to January 21, 2009 and contains 32 episodes. The fourth season first aired from June 24th to August 4th, 2009 and comprises 30 episodes.
