Bernadette Watts

Bernadette Watts (born May 13, 1942 in Northampton , England ) is an English illustrator and children's book author .

Life

Bernadette Watts studied illustration and art at Maidstone College of Art in Kent . She has been working as a freelance illustrator since 1968. Bernadette Watts has illustrated countless fairy tales by the Brothers Grimm and by Hans Christian Andersen . In German-speaking countries, her books were mostly published under her stage name Bernadette . Her books have been translated into numerous languages.

Watts has one son and lives in Kent.
