Bernard Esterhuizen (born October 4, 1992 in Durban ) is a former South African track cyclist who specialized in the short-term disciplines.
Athletic career
In 2009, Bernard Esterhuizen became Junior World Champion in Keirin in Moscow . In 2011 he won three titles at the South African elite track championships: in the keirin, in the sprint and in the 1000-meter time trial . At the 2012 Olympic Games in London , he finished eleventh in the sprint. In 2013 he won two national titles, in the sprint and in the time trial, and won these disciplines at the US Grand Prix of Sprinting track meeting .
In 2017 Esterhuizen became African champion in team sprint together with Evan Carstens and Clint Hendricks and won the silver medal in two-man team driving with Carstens .
