Bernard Reynès

Bernard Reynès (born October 18, 1953 in Meknes , Morocco ) is a French politician . He has been a member of the National Assembly since 2007 .

Reynès, the son of a teacher couple, studied dentistry in Montpellier . In 1977 he moved to Châteaurenard , where he became deputy mayor in 1995. In 2001 he was elected mayor. In 2008 he entered the National Assembly for the Bouches-du-Rhône department , defeating the UMP candidate Léon Vachet in the second ballot as a divers droite . In parliament, he joined the UMP group himself. He was re-elected in 2012 and 2019.
