Bernardinus Krauthausen

Bernardinus Krauthausen (born May 24, 1791 in Dülmen , † May 5, 1870 in Coesfeld ) was a German pharmacist and politician .

Krauthausen was a pharmacist in Coesfeld. There he was also involved in local politics and became a city councilor and city councilor. In 1833 he represented the electoral district West-Münster for the cities of Coesfeld etc. in the provincial parliament of the province of Westphalia . In 1847 he was a member of the United State Parliament .

Krauthausen, who was a Catholic denomination, married Maria Therese Henkius, the daughter of the Münster pharmacist Anton Joseph Henkius. His brother Clemens Krauthausen, pharmacist in Ochtrup and Epe, married Maria Therese Henkius' sister, Maria Magdalene Henkius. The wife's brother was the Münster pharmacist Alexander Franz Carl Henkius (Scherzersche Apotheke). The son of Maria Therese and Bernardinus Krauthausen, Carl Krauthausen (* April 1, 1820, † October 29, 1901) also became a pharmacist and continued the Scherzer pharmacy.
