Bernd-Dieter Bode

Bernd-Dieter Bode (born March 12, 1943 in Mühlhausen / Thuringia ) is a German lawyer and former judge at the Federal Court of Justice .

Career

After graduating from high school, Bode began studying law . In 1972 he was charged with the investigation , "the press concentration in US and UK" from the Albert-Ludwigs-University of Freiburg Dr. iur. PhD. In the same year, Bode entered the higher judicial service of the state of Baden-Württemberg , where he initially worked at the Karlsruhe Regional Court and the Karlsruhe Public Prosecutor's Office . In 1973 he was appointed public prosecutor at the Karlsruhe Public Prosecutor's Office. From 1975 Bode was seconded to the Federal Constitutional Court as a research assistant for three years . During this time he was appointed First Public Prosecutor. After the end of the secondment, Bode was transferred to the Karlsruhe Regional Court as a judge at the regional court. In 1980 he was appointed judge at the Karlsruhe Higher Regional Court .

After a secondment to the Saxon State Ministry of Justice , where he worked as head of division in 1991 and 1992, Bode was appointed judge at the Federal Court of Justice in 1992. There he was assigned to the 2nd Criminal Senate. In 2000 he became vice chairman of that senate. From 1992 to 1996, Bode also held the position of Investigative Judge II at the Federal Court of Justice.

On March 31, 2008, Bode retired. Bode is a member of the Catholic student associations Bavaria Freiburg and Franko-Borussia-Breslau Göttingen in the KV .
