Bernd Buchheister (born September 21, 1962 in Braunschweig ) is a former German soccer player .

Career

In 1985, Buchheister moved from the then top division MTV Gifhorn to Eintracht Braunschweig in the 2nd Bundesliga . In his first second division season 1985/86 Buchheister was already a regular player, between 1985 and 1993 he played 216 games in the 2nd Bundesliga for Eintracht, in which he scored 60 goals. After relegation in 1993, Buchheister left Braunschweig due to financial differences and joined the Hamburg club SV Lurup . Here he was active in the Regionalliga Nord until 1997 .

After the end of his football career, Buchheister returned to his trained profession as a joiner.
