Bernd Göbel (born July 17, 1952 ) is a former German soccer player .

Career

The midfielder Bernd Göbel began his career with the regional division SSV Jahn Regensburg , with whom he was relegated to the Bayern League in 1974 . Göbel then moved to FV Würzburg 04 , with whom he was promoted to the 2nd Bundesliga two years later . He made his second division debut on August 14, 1976 in the 2-1 defeat of Würzburg against FC Bayern Hof . After two years in Würzburg, Göbel switched to the Westphalian upper division TuS Schloß Neuhaus from Paderborn . With Schloss Neuhaus, Göbel was runner-up behind SC Herford in 1979 , before Göbel returned to Würzburg and relegated from the 2nd Bundesliga a year later. Göbel later returned to TuS Schloß Neuhaus and in 1982 his team was promoted to the 2nd Bundesliga. At the end of the season Göbel left Neuhaus Castle with an unknown destination.

Bernd Göbel played 96 second division games and scored five goals. He played all of these games for Würzburg. There are also 16 regional league games without a goal for Regensburg.
