Bernd Halbe (born August 15, 1959 ) is a German lawyer and specialist book author .

Life

Bernd Halbe studied law in Münster, Freiburg and Lausanne from 1980 to 1984. He passed his first state examination as a lawyer in Hamm in 1985 and the second state examination in 1989 in Düsseldorf . He was admitted to the bar in Cologne in 1989. From 1989–1999 he worked in a large commercial law firm in Cologne. Half received his doctorate in 1991 for Dr. jur. Since 1999 he has been running a law firm specializing in medical law and commercial law with offices in Cologne, Hamburg and Berlin. Bernd Halbe is legal counsel for various associations and chairman of the preliminary examination committee for the award of the specialist lawyer title for medical law at the Cologne Bar Association. After teaching assignments at RWTH Aachen University , Rheinische Fachhochschule Köln e. V. and the Heinrich Heine University Düsseldorf , he has been teaching "Special Areas of Medical and Health Law" at the University of Cologne since the winter semester 2008/09 and was appointed honorary professor in 2014 by the law faculty of the University of Cologne.
