Bernd Hildebrandt (sailor)

Bernd Hildebrandt (* 1947 ) is a German entrepreneur and sailor. He was German sailing champion in 1988 and 1989.

Life

Bernd Hildebrandt grew up in Hanover , trained as an industrial clerk and completed a degree in business administration . He has been married since 1969 and has two sons. From 1977 to 2012 he was managing director, chairman of the board of directors and chairman of the supervisory board of LPKF Laser & Electronics AG , Garbsen , whose IPO he accompanied in 1998.

In 2010 he founded the "Tier-hilft-Mensch Foundation Bernd Hildebrandt" on his farm in Idensen to support children with disabilities through animal-assisted education, riding therapy and carriage rides with draft horses.

Athletic career

In his youth he played rugby and then switched to tennis . In 1988/1989 he was in the team with Karol Jabłoński and Jakob Schneider German master in sailing the 20s dinghy cruiser .

He has been practicing TaiChi since 1991 and, after completing his teacher training in the mid-1990s, gives courses within the framework of the foundation.
